After quite a while, we’re finally seeing Katy Perry in action and that too in the Rio Olympics anthem! Although, we did see the diva and her boyfriend Orlando Bloom in an overexposed vacay scene (the junk exposure, remember?). However, on a professional front, it has been a while that the popstar serenaded us with her deadly awesome voice. Her song, Rise, for which she had earlier released a teaser video as well is finally out! The coolest part is that her song will be used by as the NBC Olympics anthem during the network’s coverage of the global sporting event in Rio de Janeiro.

Knowing that Miss Perry has always made songs that touch our hearts, this one too is no short an inspiring track. The video starts with Perry trying to pull herself up while she is tied down by a huge crimson parachute. We might add the fact that one of the desert scenes did take us back to Rihanna’s latest OST track for Star Trek Beyond, Sledgehammer. However, overall the video and especially the lyrics are damn inspiring. This is clearly a time to rejoice for all the Katy Perry fans as not only is her song set to become a superhit but also will leave a lot of people inspired.
In fact, the Rio Olympics 2016 couldn’t have had a better anthem than Katy’s Rise. Looks like Miss Perry is quite sorted in her personal as well as professional front.
