Many saw Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra hug in good humour at the IIFA 2016 press conference in Madrid recently. However, all that may have been just for the media’s benefit, as the scene backstage was quite different we hear. What is more shocking is that the reason between Farhan and Priyanka’s cold vibes is Deepika Padukone!
As per an article in Bollywood Life, it all started way before IIFA Awards when the Dil Dhadakne Do actor showed interest in casting the Deepika Padukone over Pee Cee in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don 3 . A close source from the IIFA reveals, “Where Deepika and Farhan were bonding off stage, Priyanka and Farhan kept safe distance from each other. They shared the stage together for the press conference and were cordial. Apart from that, they behaved as if they were strangers and that was quite surprising.” The source also revealed that the actress seemed visibly miffed with Farhan and did not make any attempt to hide her displeasure.
When quizzed about the same, Priyanka Chopra said, “As per my knowledge that film is not happening now”.
